#Quarantinebutmakeitart

Hong Kong has one of the toughest quarantine measurements worldwide. Travelers have to spend up tp 21 days isolated in a specific hotel. It leaves people not only struggling financially but also puts them in risk of mental health issues. Besides hotel quarantine creates also a massive amount of waste, such as food containers, plastic wraps and paper bags. During her stay Alessia collected 84 paper bags, which had to get a new purpose. The project #Quarantinebutmakeitart was born: Recycling paper bags using them as canvas for art, illustrating Covid-19 related isolation issues. With a combination of acrylic colours, pen on paper and utensils collected during quarantine, abstract pieces were created, lying focus on individuals finding themselves in this insanitary situation.
